Mr. Bear This happens here also. Even with the Keep Alive Message set to On or OFF. Some Clusters just do this. I strongly suggest you try various Cluster Nodes, not just those that are close to you. Some of the Mega Clusters that combine spots from other locals will have more frequent activity and keep themselves working. If you can make a connection than the problem is most likely NOT your system.
GL and let us know if you still have problems. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bear" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "DXBase List" <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, May 24, 2002 12:05 AM Subject: [DXBase] DXBase 2003 and Internet Cluster Hello All, I finally got DSL here in the shack and everything seems to be working fine except one thing. I have two computers in the shack, one for Ham Radio and the other is for email, ebay etc etc. Both computers are networked together which seems to work fine. The problem is when running DXBase on the Ham computer and connecting to an Internet Cluster that the connection seems to go dead after 20 - 40 mins. The spots are ok for a while then nothing. The Ham computer, the Main Computer and the DSL Modem are connected to a DSL Router Hub. I've checked for timeout settings etc and haven't found any other than the stay alive interval. It's hard to tell if the problem is in DXBase or the ethernet/router setup. Any ideas? 73's Larry --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html The reason this message is shown is because the post was in HTML or had an attachment.
