Having been a DXBase user since the initial release of the first DOS version,
I finally decided yesterday to begin using all of the features of DXB 2002.
Previously DXBase was used only for logging, QSL'ing, and record maintenance.
I am having some problems and would appreciate some assistance. I am not a
technical IT person
so I would appreciate simple layman's explanations.

Logging is no problem. When I enter a worked station in the log DXBase
tracks the ICOM 756PRO and records the proper frequency and mode.

My problem relates to Internet spots. The Internet connection through DXBase
appears to be working properly and I have no difficulty receiving or sending
Internet spots. Mt difficulty comes when I try to click in the "type" box on
the left to log a Internet spot that I just worked. If I do a SH/DX the
result is displayed as follows:

14022.1 9L1AB
21335.9 TR8CA etc.

When the frequency is displayed in this format I have no problem controlling
the rig or logging the station. Also, when I click on the stations received
in this format the 'Previous QSO's" box is populated with the proper
information.

My problem comes in when a routine Internet spot is received and it comes in
the following format:

DX de W1AAA 14022.1 9L1AB

When I try to log this Internet spot by either of the 3 ways, I either get A.
An error message that says "Field Cannot be Blank", or b. it logs whatever
station was last listed in the Previous QSO's box.

Also, when I click in the Type box attempting to change the rig to the
frequency of the Internet spot nothing happens.

No doubt whatever is causing the problem is my fault but I just cannot seem
to find the magic to make it function properly. Thank you for your
assistance.
