This is another one that I know about. I have had the same problem. When this happens if you will hit Ctrl/Alt/Delete which will bring up your task manager, look under the "Processes" tab and you will find that DXBase is still running in that window. Click on it and then click "End Process", you will be ask if you are sure click"Yes" then you can go and start DXBase. I have no idea what the problem is but this will keep you from having to shut the computer down and restart.

I have to leave my windows XP session ... this means, logging off and logging on again. after that Dxbase can be fired again. Really enoying, specially when you want to exit and load another log profile. Also when this happened I sometimes can not shutdown windows, because dxbase still has things into memory. A error message pops up (can not get a screenshot because all hangs) and after 10 tot 15 seconds the message disappears and XP shuts down. Could it be that Dxbase keeps things into memory without knowing what. This also (3th kind of a problem) results in other programs telling the I/O device is already in use when I like to run another program to control my ts2000. This program thinks com2 is still in use. It all points out to the fact the I/O is kept bussy by DXBASE. Maybe this also results in the problematic shut down or restart of the program. I'm not a programmer, so beats me, but very enoying because this happens two out of four times. I hate logging of all the time just because one program makes me to ... Help, help ...
