Just curious. Try opening IE, Internet Explorer. See if that works. If it doesn't, try using the Connections Tab of Tools, Internet Options to set up a Dialup.
You don't have to make IE your default browser but this may be a clue. I think there called 'sockets', little apps that control the connection method. As you were not using MS apps, XP may not have created them during upgrade. I may be confusing this with something else but I THOUGHT I read that was a portion of the legal judgments. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wes (N7WS) and Linda" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Sergei Litvinov" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Jack" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "DXBase Reflector" <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, March 02, 2003 7:29 AM Subject: Re: [DXBase] Automatic dialling > At 10:29 PM 2/28/2003 +0200, Sergei Litvinov wrote: > >Hi Jack, > > > >actually I didn't make it clear enough, I have edited the hosts file and > >added > >host entries for cluster sites.
