I've been experimenting. I use WinXP Pro and it has it's own Backup program. Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools. It's a Wizard and will walk you through the steps. You can back up everything or just backup DXB, you can choose your settings.
So I've taken this approach. I still use my .bat file, to copy all the important DXB files to another folder on the same HD, onto a CDRW on the same machine and to another CDRW on the LAN. I can do this manually or I have it run and then call DXB. I also have the internal XP backup program copy the important files and this is scheduled for 3:00 AM. Obviously the computer must be on. May seem like overkill, but this way I can do a manual prior to making ANY changes. I can do a manual and then start DXB or I can just start DXB without doing the backup. As I said, I'm anal about backups and obviously have way too much time on my hands. ----------------------------------------------------- Vegetarian: Indian word for lousy hunter ----------------------------------------------------- W9OL, Bill H. in Chicagoland
