No, not true.  Internet Security software and firewall products don't care
anything about a host file.  They allow access based on the .exe file or the
IP.  So, if you are using an internet software package, you MUST tell it to
allow DXB2004.EXE to have access.  Otherwise, you will get the symptom you
describe.  There are no known issues with DXbase 2004 accessing the internet
provided your user options are set correctly, you have internet access, and
your firewall isn't blocking anything.
