The files are stored in a .dbx file -- one file for each folder you have -- I forget the exact terminology, but they will be named something like outbox.dbx, sent.dbx etc. Do a search for all .dbx files and copy tyem to a Cd or diskette. Then, before you collect your mail the first time on your new computer, import the files (FILE - IMPORT) and your folder structure will be kept, along with all the messages. Unfortunately, I don't remember where the contact file (address book) is stored. Outlook Express should allow you to export that file to a .csv (or something similar) file and it can also be imported in the same way as your messages.

Excuse this for being off topic, but maybe you can help. My computer is slowing dieing, maybe a little faster than normal. I have able to dump all the important stuff to a harddrive on my daughter's computer. The biggest thing I am trying to find now is the message database for Outlook Express. If I knew the name I could search the harddrive, but I have no clue. I was going to to an export, but it appears you can only export them to Outlook. I would like to export them to a file that I can import when I get a new computer. Any ideas?
