I would search for a folder name:
Cd \
Dir /s dxbase.dbx (or some other folder that you know the name of).
(Use something that is specific to your computer).
I use Windows XP professional.
My Outlook Express folders are under
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Identities\{ a guid
}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\
I have a file, for example, dxbase.dbx that is my folder for dxbase.
Some of these directories are hidden. Dir /ah shows hidden directories.
I've moved these from system to system, and it's a tedious operation. I
have a lot of folders.
Good luck!
Dick

Subject: [DXBase] Help!
Excuse this for being off topic, but maybe you can help. My computer is
slowing dieing, maybe a little faster than normal. I have able to dump all
the important stuff to a harddrive on my daughter's computer. The biggest
thing I am trying to find now is the message database for Outlook Express.
If I knew the name I could search the harddrive, but I have no clue. I was
going to to an export, but it appears you can only export them to Outlook.
I would like to export them to a file that I can import when I get a new
computer. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bob
