There have been a thousand discussions about the DX cops. You cannot = stop them, so why try. Just ignore them. Each Dxpedition since the dawn of = time has had to deal with them. You listen THROUGH them, and they go away. = If you call them out, just like a bully, they continue because they are = getting what they want, recognition of their disruption. End of Soap Box.......!!

It is not up to the DX to tell us what he is doing. It is up to us to find out by LISTENING. I remember DXpeditions where the DX lied about where they were listening. I even remember when I think it was 1984 Kermadec had just opened and op Ron Wright ZL1AMO was listening down on 20 CW and told no one. That has to be the fastest I worked a major DXpedition. Frustrated because I couldn't hear who he was working in the big mess listening up, I listened down. 73, Art W2NRA Tom wrote: > The main reason the KC cops come out and start directing the DX callers is because the DX station > doesn't say "Listening up" or "Up 5". > > A really good, experience and professional DX operator will avoid the confusion and QRM created by > the KC cops by simply saying "up 5". > > Why don't more DX ops do that??? _______________________________________________ DXBase Reflector - Please visit us on the web at www.dxbase.com - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -=20 To UNSUBSCRIBE please visit: = http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase
