I entered a LOT of old dx station logs I inherited. I created a special column file I call Manager.co I also downloaded a freebee keyboard macro. I found this to be really quick. Turn off the DXBase options to use system date and time. all I enter is the time, and call. Then I hit one of the Microsoft Windows keys. That jumps me right back to the next row and the time field. I found that if I take a highlighter and mark the paper log at each band/mode/date change, I won't miss any. And DXBase will use the last date entered if you select that option.
I don't need name and state etc. as that's populated by the cdrom and I never even see those fields. I'll send the DXBase 2005 only Manager.co file as an attachment to anyone who wants it. You can find keyboard macros at most of the freeware sites. The one I use is called UltraKeyBoard, and I actually bought the full version as it works so well. Turn the sound on to alert if a entry error happens and a touch typist can enter a LOT of qso's in a hurry. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ron Stordahl" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Clark L.
