Jim
DXBase2004.ini is found in the Windows subdirectory.
Normally C:\Windows\Dxbase.ini

This is consistent with the normal convention of most programs now a days.
Writelog has for example
C:\Windows\Writelog.ini
Hamscope has
C:\Windows\Hamscope.ini

Configuration files for various features of a programs such as rotors, rigs,
etc are
normally stored in the programs subdirectory.

That is why I have a separate bat file command to backup the DXBase.ini from
it's location
and a separate command to backup all the configuration files (*.ini) that are
in the
DXBase subdirectory.

I did not accept the default installation of DXB but chose to install into
C:\DXB

Simply because I was too lazy to have to type or cut/paste that long directory
location
into the bat file I made for backing up.
Too much of my making a typo and missing some important files when I wrote the
batch file.
(I still made mistakes but they were easier to spot/correct. <wink>)
