I avoid the problem by updating my main archive DXbase log manually from the LoTW QSL record (I only enter DX QSL's, but most of my QSO's are DX). I created a separate database in DXbase called "lotw.mdb" and that's the log into which I import the full LoTW .adi file, warts and all. While there are obviously some errors, I am not putting my archive database at risk with the download.
