Well, I kept at it this time and this is what I discovered.
Each and every time I did this, the following is the procedure I used.
Main Log in focus.
Select Styles from the "View" drop down.
Select "Text" from list
Select "modify"
Select the color tab and make my changes
Select font tab and make my changes
Close to Styles window and put a CHECK mark in the save as default.
Close the window and viola, I get what I want.
Close DXbase and reload program, and back to the same old log.
Now the solution.
Do everything I mentioned above with one exception, select "STANDARD" instead
of "Text" and it now works. It will now load your choices each and every time.
Thanks for reading.

Subject: [Dxbase] New Lighthouses report being made (in process now) by Joe

Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
To all:
I am right now working on a "lighthouse" report ... The area of
the logbook that I am "right now" looking at for the "lighthouse
info" is in the "Notes" field ...
Such as -- the entry typed into the Notes field by the user would
look like this:
LH USA-1129
or it could look like this:
Mobile at LH ITA-001
NOTE: No matter where in the Notes field you place the info, as
long as the two characters of LH are there - followed immediately
by the Lighthouse number ITA-001 -- the report will find the
info .. BUT, only if you type them in as noted..
I am "hand-pasting" ALL 11,283 Lighthouses/Lightships numbers
and names into this report ... There are currently 212 countries
in the Lighthouse/Lightship database..
If anyone out there is interested in this report - or - thinks
they will use it (even if not regularly) -- AND -- you are NOT
going to put the Lighthouse info into the Notes field -- PSE,
tell me where you plan to put that info - so that I can program
to be able to find the info in YOUR logbook...
Currently, John OZ4RT, has been helping me (in a big way!!).. Tnx
John!! The current structure of the Report (which I am still
working on) is just about the SAME way that John's report looks.
73 to all!
