I have DXB on 2 computers. One is connected to the radio via a microhamKEYER USB interface.
If I Start DXB BEFORE I turn on the radio, I will get a message saying that DXB was unable to start the radio interface. Going to tools>User Options>Rig #1, I must recheck the "Connect HF Radio 1 Serial Interface" box to reconnect to the rig. It worked this way with the normal serial port I USED to use. And It works this way with the microhamKEYER USB interface I presently use. As the other computer with DXBase does NOT have a radio connected via any type of com port, I can not even put a check into the "Connect HF etc. " box. Any attempt results in the "unable to start yada yada" message. Which makes sense. We could probably track this down to what kind of motherboard bios we all use and compair. But to be perfectly honest...I'm not sure it's worth the effort. I went through the list of Shortcut Keys and do not find one to 'toggle' the Rig Interface. That could be a usefull option, but my wall switch turns on rigs/lights/monitors, so my rigs are almost allways on before I start software. ----------------------------------------------------- A good name is more desireable than great riches. ----------------------------------------------------- Bill H. in Chicagoland webcams at http://76.16.160.118:8080/ weather at http://hhweather.webhop.org
