I use both a VHF connection and an Internet connection because the Internet connection is not reliable and often will shut down when I am not there. When I return a few hours later, instead of a listing of the DX that I might work is a long list of "Keep Alive Message Sent" with no responses. One item that should be addressed is automatic reconnection to an Internet connection that has failed for whatever reason.
