Hi, Neal -

I would still like to have the VHF for "when they take the Internet down", as
another writer put it.

Also, would it be possible to be able to edit and enter, edit and choose the
desired telnet connection in a window that is larger than a postage stamp as it
is currently designed?

I, too, am happy to be an annual buyer when there is?a new model out there.

This is an exciting time for us DXBase users -- we get to talk to a software
developer for the product!

Will we be seeing you in Dayton?

If you could connect to 2 different internet clusters so you had one up at all
times would that suffice losing the vhf packet capabilities? I will make sure
that the keep alive function works but do you know why it doesn't seem to be
working now?

Neal -

?

I use both a VHF connection and an Internet connection because the Internet
connection is not reliable and often will shut down when I am not there. When I
return a few hours later, instead of a listing of the DX that I might work is a
long list of "Keep Alive Message Sent" with no responses.

?

One item that should be addressed is automatic reconnection to an Internet
connection that has failed for whatever reason.

?

Thank you for asking.

I just wanted to get an indication from you about your usage of VHF for
packet clusters. I know that almost every sysop I know (myself included)
have shut down their VHF ports a long time ago but there are some still
offering the service.

The reason I was asking was that I was considering moving towards allowing 2
internet DXCluster connections instead of 1 VHF and 1 Internet. How does
this affect your operation?
