Hi, Neal -
I would still like to have the VHF for "when they take the Internet down", as another writer put it. Also, would it be possible to be able to edit and enter, edit and choose the desired telnet connection in a window that is larger than a postage stamp as it is currently designed? I, too, am happy to be an annual buyer when there is?a new model out there. This is an exciting time for us DXBase users -- we get to talk to a software developer for the product! Will we be seeing you in Dayton? 73, Paul NO8D -----Original Message----- From: Neal Campbell <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Sent: Sun, Oct 11, 2009 7:40 pm Subject: Re: [Dxbase] VHF Packet Users? If you could connect to 2 different internet clusters so you had one up at all times would that suffice losing the vhf packet capabilities? I will make sure that the keep alive function works but do you know why it doesn't seem to be working now? 73 Neal Campbell Abroham Neal Software www.dxbase.com www.abrohamnealsoftware.com www.sdrsystems.com (540) 242 0911 Amateur Radio: K3NC Blog: http://www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/blog/ DXBase bug reports: email to [email protected] Abroham Neal forums: http:/www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/community/ DX Cluster: dxc.k3nc.com port 23 On Sun, Oct 11, 2009 at 7:30 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: Neal - ? One item that should be addressed is automatic reconnection to an Internet connection that has failed for whatever reason. ? Thank you for asking. ? 73, Paul NO8D -----Original Message----- From: Neal Campbell <[email protected]> To: DXBase List <[email protected]> Sent: Sun, Oct 11, 2009 6:15 pm Subject: [Dxbase] VHF Packet Users? I just wanted to get an indication from you about your usage of VHF for packet clusters. I know that almost every sysop I know (myself included) have shut down their VHF ports a long time ago but there are some still offering the service. The reason I was asking was that I was considering moving towards allowing 2 internet DXCluster connections instead of 1 VHF and 1 Internet. How does this affect your operation? 73 Neal Campbell Abroham Neal Software www.dxbase.com www.abrohamnealsoftware.com www.sdrsystems.com (540) 242 0911 Amateur Radio: K3NC Blog: http://www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/blog/ DXBase bug reports: email to [email protected] Abroham Neal forums: http:/www.abrohamnealsoftware.com/community/ DX Cluster: dxc.k3nc.com port 23 ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
