I'm aware of the setting you mention, and it does eliminate the dimming. But wouldn't it be nice if the (trusted) program simply opened in the expected manner? Fortunately, I suppose, so far I have encountered only two programs that bring up UAC: DX Monitor and Acronis - two programs that I use infrequently. Are you (or is anybody) aware of a solution that keeps UAC activated but eliminates all UAC notifications when trusted programs are used?
