I really do not know. I wrote it on my laptop which has a wifi
connection to a router that I was pressing its magic WPS button to
connect my wireless laser printer. What I guess is that the
acknowledgement from receiving the email got swallowed somehow and my
laptop resent it. But, I could see that perfect synchronoization
happening once, maybe even twice but not 10 times so an ISP hiccup is
the best suggestion.
Naughty gmail I guess!

I note that Neal's email with his fine comment on cynicism has repeated
any
number of times now (10? More?)
However, I think they all have the same timestamp, so that likely
wouldn't
be him repeating the sending. His ISP may be stuck in a loop resending
to
the listserver. Such things happen, and are very hard to get cleared
up!
I've seen Yahoo decide to resend whole batches of group list emails to
everyone on the list! So sometimes it isn't even the ISP of the email
originator that causes the problem!
