Howdy. I'm trying to jump onto the E truck and I'm close but not quite
there. Installing the libraries went fine, E compiled okay (although I
did goof up and run 'make install' even though the README says not to --
any clue what I may have damaged when I did that?), but when I try to
startx with a .Xclients with enlightenment, something still seems to be
missing.

I'm getting a bunch of imlib errors like this:

IMLIB ERROR: Cannot load image: pix/bg.png
All fallbacks failed.
sh: /convert: No such file or directory
sh: /convert: No such file or directory
/usr/bin/anytopnm: unknown file type

Needless to say, the desktop I get is disappointing and slow. It does
run though.

In case it matters, here's all that's in my .Xclients:

nxterm -fn fixed -g -0+0 &
/home/michael/E/e/src/enlightenment

The ~/E/e/src/enlightenment directory is the place where all of E's
source files are being kept on my machine for now. I'm running it from
there 'cuz that's what the README file said to do.

My system is a RedHat 5.1/intel.

Clues? Remonstrations?

Thanks,
m
