There are two London fix. AM and PM.
e-gold follow the spot rate but update its exchange rates
infrequently. I have yet to figure out the pattern. Sometimes it
appears to be evry hour..on other occassions it can be more
frequent... So on occasion, e-gold exchnage rates are excatly the
London fix and on other occasions they are not. But they are never
very far from it, except when volatility is high.

When they make the bar, hot liquid gold flows from the furnace into
the mould. The flow is hard to control at this temperature and the
end results is never exactly 400 ounces. that is the explanation I
was given.
