Fidex now offers clearance of AU$ cheques via a reputable local agent - this means our Aussie clients can mail cheques (including suitably-endorsed third party cheques) to a domestic address and clear cheques within a few days through the domestic system. We will then make an AUD spend to your e-gold account, avoiding any currency conversions.

Fees and exact procedures depend on amounts etc. I should stress that this is a *domestic* cheque clearing arrangement as opposed to our *offshore* cheque clearing which also applies to AUD cheques. Domestic is for when you need fast clearance and funds, offshore is primarily meant for bulk international cheque clearing and those with privacy concerns about using domestic systems. Domestic is much faster of course. We will also buy Aussie bank wires via ANZ Bank at best rates.
