I've read _The Peace War_ and _Marooned in Realtime_ and
can hardly wait for the singularity to arrive.  As for
Jesus, I'm sure He has, too.

Sure it is.  One says "gow" to rhyme with bough 
(or bow as in bowing to a lady).

"That'll be six gows" is what the cashier says,
but the price tag reads gAu6.00.

Heard Vinge do a reading at Worldcon up in Chicago one
year.  Hmm.  That was 1991.  Big year for me.
