The U.S. will catch up with the Czech Republic on this point. Congressmen are already talking about it. >For "minting" digital gold currency (DGC) it is even worse. I heard it's even >illegal to criticise the central bank (www.cnb.cz) The U.S. have a long way to go on this point, but they'll get there eventually. Nobody is talking about it yet because the DGCs are too small for now. It's coming. We are in a self-reinforcing, positive feedback loop of regulation in the U.S. and the world, and there is no end in sight and no power on Earth can stop it. Eventually, federal laws will govern even the tomatoes grown in your own back yard. You will pay an imputed value tax on them. Eventually, states will take over the water supply and socialize it, imposing watering bans to avoid "shortages". Oh wait, that's already happened. If you read Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" and snickered at her silly fictional names like the "Anti Dog-Eat-Dog Act", you won't be snickering at the "U.S.A. Patriot Act" and the "No Child Left Behind Act." Life will imitate the most outrageous of Ayn Rand's fiction. -- Patrick --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: archive@jab.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use e-gold's Secure Randomized Keyboard (SRK) when accessing your e-gold account(s) via the web and shopping cart interfaces to help thwart keystroke loggers and common viruses.
