This is often the argument put worth whenever anyone suggests ridiculous
feature X (not necessarily your suggestion). The 'if you don't want to use
it, don't' approach. Whether you like it or not, there will be SOME cost of
checking, in IDEA's code. For example, I could choose not to use any of the
new fancypants javadoc stuff, yet, when I write a javadoc, I suspect IDEA
will still expend some cpu cycles trying to be smart about it, and see if it
can fill things in intelligently for me. THAT is what I object to. I'm happy
with every single silly suggestions on here being implemented, as long as I
can turn it off and write actual code as opposed to marvel at how clever
(and slow) my IDE is.
