1. I like it too.
2. An option is certainly a good and fair idea.
3. Same line for {...} and blank-line compression would hugely improve the
utility of folding
4. there is weak visual distinction between [+] and [-]... perhaps a
background color behind [+] would aid in lieu of showing {...}
