My debugging suggestions ...
-- confirm that you have the correct IP address
-- press refresh after getting the "Page Expired" message
-- Clear your browser cache (Delete temporary files in IE).
-- If there is a proxy server in use at your company, get it's cache cleared
-- Try the same thing on another PC

This will tell you if the problem is on the server or on your PC.  If
the issue continues after all of these, then the problem is server or
network-based.  If that doesn't narrow it down enough, post the web
server config and here.

A couple of other thoughts ...
-- why are you using the hosts file and not DNS?
-- Giovanni has some suggestions in the Easy400 tutorial for avoiding
cache issues.
