Interesting idea.
We’re a small consulting company in Australia and have done some small jobs with cgidev2 but we’re willing
to help with whatever we can. Just
let me know what you want and we’ll try to help (we have a slight lull in
work as well). I think this will definitely help in our better learning of cgidev.

Subject: [Easy400Group] Open
Source - project management system for as/400?
I have an unexpected
lull in work load between contracts.
Unless something comes up, I am thinking of
starting to write a tool
in CGIDEV2 for tracking user requests and small
projects for IT dept.
Every IT dept I have seen recently has a pile of
user request forms or
emails sitting on managers' desktop and a usually
a single-user
spreadsheet to track this semi-manually. Not
the best tools to manage
requests and projects.
My program would help track requests,
prioritization, time estimates,
allocation to programer, actual time spent,
summary of program
changes, test plan, implementation plan. It
could also be useful to
help demonstrate compliance to SOX or FDA
requirements.
Could this be of use to anyone here? I could make
part/all of
it available as open source if there is interest.
Interested in your
feedback.
