May I also add some words on this subject. In Italy we had some IBM Business Partners keeping their customers on S/36 environment. All of a sudden, their customers moved to IBM competitors, and those IBM B/Ps gave pink slips to all their staffs.
We still have people here trying to maintain their customers in the darkness of Middle Ages. We understand those situations. They would not spend a penny for renewing their skills, they would rather maintain their customers on 3rd hand computers, running old OS/400 glories. This they do because they do try to keep their customers in total ignorance of today IT techniques. Of course they do it for some undue profit. Jon (Paris), and others. We cannot save the world, we cannot take care of such situations. History will take care of them. They are planning for the death of their customers, and they will be buried along with their victims. Fun is that they do not even understand how next this is. So long, RPG II, RPG400, S/36 profets, and all the like. We shall not spend other words for you.
