This is a whole different problem, for some reason the actual GCC build process 
is failing for you...

Which OS are you on? What kind of system (processor)?

Please collect a debug log (use --debug on the eb command line), and provide 
the full log file to us (it's going to be *big*, so copy-pasting in a mail 
won't be an option ;-)).
