Hello Raik,

I have the same issue on my Debian Sid machine.
The tips given on the wiki did not help either, and I did not find any
solution so far.

My only workaround is to use only toolchains based on GCC-4.8.1 .

The relevant error message from the easybuild-68qMse.log file you
provided is:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find crti.o: No such file or directory

This is a known issue on Debian/Ubuntu, and we have it documented, see
https://github.com/hpcugent/easybuild/wiki/OS-specific-notes#ubuntu-1110
.

Let me know if that helps you.

Hello Kenneth,

that not fix the problem, same error in the log.

By the way, i want to install:
eb HPL-2.0-goalf-1.1.0-no-OFED.eb --robot --debug

Is there an OS that you prefer for easybuild?

Raik

hi raik,

yes, it looks like a download error.

can you check if files in /home/eb/.local/easybuild/sources/g/GCC/
are
properly downloaded/corrupt? (eg send ls -l output or try to do a
manual
download and compare md5sum)
you can continue by manually downloading and adding the sources to
the
directory (downloading the sources is best-effort in easybuild, but
when
a download fails, it should clean up any incomplete files or other
leftovers)

can you also run with 'eb --debug' and send us the debug output
(it's
written to a logfile; if you want the debug output on stdout, add
-l)

Hello EasyBuilders,
