Hi Scott
I have a very similar problem to Peter Judd on 2005-04-18
Both clients are succesfully logged into the echoserver
When either side attempts to start the VNC Connection, it proceeds perfectly, finds the partner
and then bombs out with the message
The connection closed unexpectedly
Do you wish to reconnect to ......
The message about too many security failures ..... also crops up
A message about local loop back connections has also come up once. However the properties of my VNC
server do not offer a Local Loop back option and I don't like tampering with the registry.
PC1 Win2K
Real VNC 4.11 server
Echoserver 1.32
EchoVNC 1.52
Behind Linksys firewall
Port 1328 forwarded
PC2 WinXP
EchoVNC 1.52
Hardware firewall
XP firewall down
PC2 owner reports flickering similar to Paul Perpich post
I've run out of ideas here.
