I am trying to get eciadsl to work with my D-Link DSL-200 modem against Telia Swedens ADSL service. I am currently having problems with getting PPP up and running. I am running Debian 3.0 on a Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop with kernel 2.4.18-bf2.4 and pppd version 2.4.1. I have installed the Debian package for eciadsl-usermode.0.5. I have run eciconf.sh (but I did not set IP-adresses for any DNS server). DABUSB is not a loaded kernel module on my machine so no problem with that. I changed the sync file to sync03.bin after having had repeated problems with startmodem blocking at block 240. Running startmodem produces the following output (first 928 lines snipped): ECI Load 2 : Success ...
