But then you'd insist that the commonality be your father god on 
your terms.  You ask for unity, then refuse all compromise.

The uniting factor is the recognition by everyone (even you, Angela) 
of the basic freedom of religion, faith, thought and conscience of 
everyone else (even me).  Action, however, is a different matter.  
Your freedom to swing your fist ends where my nose begins; your 
freedom to dump toxins does not exist (aquifers, oceans or 
atmospheres are everywhere); they must be processed into 
environmentally acceptable forms.  Also, having too many children 
steals bread from the mouths of all.  Likewise, no one should be 
allowed to oppress another, or pollute our common home; nor should 
we accept excessive human procreation, for it intrudes on the lives 
of all of us (and not just the humans).    Joe
