Hello to all. (Sorry for cross-postings) Could someone suggest sources (WWW, books, journal and newspaper articles) on concrete examples of counterhegemonic forces/social movements within the "developing world" explicitly engaged in what could be called a (Polanyian second phase) struggle to re-embed globalized market forces within society (particularly, financial markets, or else "economic globalization" and the "internationalization of the state" in general). I am thinking of movements who are not necessarily as "mediagenic" as the Zapatistas, yet, like the EZLN, voice concerns over the need to tame, civilize and democratize "the market". Cox and Gill (among others) often claim we can discern vague signs of this emerging double-movement, however tentative and embryonic they may be, but I need to locate concrete examples. Many thanks.
