What are you implying that these religions are entrenched in - dogma?
Also, can you provide evidence that Christianity subjagates females and the
Earth?
I understand how you one can misinterupt the word dominion to mean destruction
- however, Christians are now using the word stewardship (you can oppose this
because you believe that we are not here as stewards but as co-inhabits - yes,
but since we have the power to destroy we had better take on responsibility as
stewards out of love) as opposed to dominion, which would have been OK if it
had not been misinterpeted to mean destruction - one can rule/dominion without
cruelty. There were good kings/queens in history and there were bad ones! It
all depends on wisdom and love - I think Ecofeminism is a good sign that both
sexes are getting smarter and nicer - more wisdom and more love - definitely a
good thing for the world. Anyway, I think things are changing in regard to
Christians - our attitudes toward nature as God's garment is definitely
getting better - it was just a matter of awareness - and hopefully continued
awareness - Now, regarding the treatment of woman - all religions and non-
religions alike can be guilty of mistreating woman - for many reasons - I
think the root reason is any religious belief in God as a male/only God -
thus, making man superior - however, in true Christianity - God is not male -
Jesus was a male and there is also the femme divine - who is the Queen of
Heaven and Earth - she is a female - fertility is a female/the feminine face
of creation by God - omnipotent and mysterious at one with male/female
divines. Now, if you want to talk about how some Christians who are not
really understanding of the holistic female/male whole picture of creation -
that is what I am working on thanks to Chris - I want to reveal the feminine
face to be honored and respected with equity and love so that the false
patriarchy - caused by generations of neglect can reach of balance wherein
woman receive higher recognition and respect in the churches and in their
homes as God would have it - treat your woman as you would have her treat you
- obviously not implying mistreatment in anyway, shape or form - some people
just don't get it and that is what I would like to work on as a Christian
Ecofeminist.
