Thanks for your reply Angela.

I agree with all you say.  Our culture is domination/heirarchy based and
traditional religions are too. I believe in tolerance to the extent that I
won't say that my answers are right for everyone, but at the same time I am
starting to believe what we really need is a growing number of people that are
willing to go out in the world and actually convert people from domination
based religious/spiritual beliefs to ones that free us from the limitations of
our current paradyme.

Is anyone on this list actively working in a local spiritual group to spread
this message and build a significant (in numbers of members) spritual movement?
I am looking to create (or join) a "master mind team" of people that want to
make this their primary work. I am looking for people that feel moved to create
(or have already created) a liberal religious/spiritual movement that is even
more successful in its growth as the religious right has been lately.

I just read recently that while 10% of the general population are interested in
"self actualization" 50% of those that use the internet are! So if anyone knows
where else I should be posting this question please let me know!

        _Essays in History_, the University of Virginia Corcoran Department of
History's annual history journal, solicits contributions for its 1999
issue.  Now entering its forty-first year, _Essays in History_ has long
provided a forum in which accomplished work by scholars at any stage of
their careers can publish in a refereed journal.  The last three issues
can be seen at:

The current issue will be published both on the web and in _Essays in
History's_ accustomed hard format.

        Scholars in all fields of history are encouraged to submit their work.
Articles should be approximately 20-30 pages in length and must be
