To ecofem in response to Angela's comments:

>Chris was born of the Earth Goddess (The White Goddess) he said so himself
>- >and she is alive through him and the other believers.

The sense in which I am born of the White Goddess is that I am born on the
Epiphany the week "The White Goddess" was the dispatched by Graves to TS
Eliot, just as the first plutonium for the Hioroshima and Nagasaki bombs
began to flow. "The White Goddess' finishes by pronouncing the last days of
Christianity in the environmental apocalypse.

This has nothing to do with belief in the pagan Goddess. It is Shekhinaic
synchronicity - a manifestation of the feminine abstract in her natural
power. Watch out however! Graves' other simultaneous 'kettle drum' was
"King Jesus". I am here to fulfil the law and the prophets - the right
hand of God!

The Epiphany is the older Eastern date of Christ's birth, the date of
Dionysus' Aegean festival and the triple Epiphany of Cana, the Magi and the
Baptism of the Dove. Birth tradition and manifestation tradition.

>What about the people who believe that what was said in the bible - Do not
>put >false Gods before me - doesn't that apply to the Goddess?

1. The feminine abstract is not a false God, but a coprimal aspect of
reality, as wave is to particle and body to mind:

Wisdom crieth "The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way ... I was
set up from everlasting or ever the Earth was." ... coprimal with God.

The 'Elohim were originally, as well as being the "God of thy fathers" and
the "Almighty" ('el Sadday) were "of the breasts and womb" (Asherah) and
"of the deep" (chaos Tiamat) in the oldest statement in the Bible - the
blessing of Jacob ... again the feminine is coprimal with God.

2. The Bible ends right here. We are closing the books. "Genesis of
Eden" closes the patriarchal epoch and opens the epoch of the Tree of Life
in one apocalypse. That is the prophecy and that is the cultural
climacteric. The Bible begins with Eden and ends with Revelation. I am
here to close the cycle in Holy Matrimony - the mother of all healings.

Regina Schwartz in "The Curse of Cain: The Violent Legacy of Monotheism"
pronounces this closing:

"My re-vision would produce an alternative Bible that subverts the dominant
vision of violence and scarcity with an ideal of plenitude and its
corollary ethical imperative of generosity. It would be a Bible embracing
multiplicity instead of monotheism. And I hope that this description of the
Bible will also serve to describe its future, that it will not only tell of
proliferation, but that new versions, decrying the violence of monotheism,
will proliferate. When I began this project, I anticipated concluding with
the injunction from Augustine to "close the Book." For him, faith had
superseded it; for me, its ancient agonistic values are far too dangerous
to continue authorizing. But I have come to understand that same urge in a
new light. The old "monotheistic" Book must be closed so that the new books
may be fruitful and multiply. After all, that was the first commandment."

Anyone who has looked closely at "Genesis of Eden" will recognise that it
is in many ways this eclectic karmic work. It fully embraces multiplicity
in the ecofeminine floodtide and its source diversity and plenitude in
diversity and the Tree of Life. It is of the future in the evolutionary
flowering and in the tradition of visionary democracy. Its raison d'etre
is to address the violence against woman and nature and to heal the Fall.
And of course in includes Regina's own statement in respect of her vision.

>As for the trinity being a political lie - of course, anything that suppresses
>the goddess would be fabricated (ACCORDING TO THEM)

HERE IS THE POLITICAL PROCESS

Grollier encyclopedia 1993: The doctrine of the Trinity is a POSTSCRIPTURAL
attempt to bring to coherent expression diverse affirmations about God, all
of which seemed necessary to a full statement of Christian experience and
belief. ... Difficulties soon emerged in formulating and understanding this
threefold "economy." Divergent views led early to numerous Trinitarian
controversies such as those over subordinationism (the teaching that the
Son is subordinate to the Father and the Holy Spirit to both; see ARIANISM)
and modalism (the view that the three modes are transitory; see
MONARCHIANISM and SABELLIANISM). The Councils of Nicaea (325) and
Constantinople (381) outlined the dogma of the Trinity in express rejection
of these teachings.

The message is clear. The dogma of Trinity is a political attempt to form
a description, which Jesus never uttered, for reasons of political control
- essential so the bishops could dump Arius.
