Though the veggie debate garners much emotional energy, time, and thought, would that we could spend so energy on the homo sapiens who are directly or indirectly murdered or enslaved by war, poverty and racism (Including environmental and corporate). Is it easier to be conscious of human-animal conflict and issues than to acknowledge and work to rectify human-human, human-institutional conflict in our collective backyards? Just a thought. mtmolle
