Katharine-

I agree that we need to "get on with it". Activism is the body of ecofeminism.
But at the heart of ecofeminism is *the reason* we write letters, compost,
recycle, eat lower on the food chain, rescue animals, increase the wilderness.

This list can surely be a forum for discussing the reasons why we are
ecofeminists, not just listing politcal actions we might take. Sometimes, a good
debate among friends is helpful in clarifying our thoughts. I don't see this as
"flaming" - nothing on this list qualifies as true flaming compared to the nasty
personal diatribes I have seen on other lists (and un-subscribed).

"Think globally, act locally". But part of that thinking can be a discussion
with others of a like mind, in order to spur us into action.

As to the womyn/wimmin/we-moon debate --- as long as you don't call me "girl" or
"nigger", I guess it's OK. Please don't flame me for using the "N" word; I
*KNOW* how hateful it is to right-thinking people everywhere. I am just giving
an example of how "Naming" done from the outside can hurt members of a group.
Can't we be PC (politely courteous) and call people *what they want to be
called* ?

Willing to discuss (even heatedly) as well as act up-
