UK Research and Graduate Studies is administering for the University two
postdoctoral fellowship programs again this year, namely, the Lyman T.
Johnson Postdoctoral Fellowship Program and the Postdoctoral Fellowship
Program for Women in Underrepresented Areas.

The Lyman T. Johnson Fellowship: "Named in honor of UK's first
African-American student, the Lyman T. Johnson Postdoctoral Fellowship
supports minority postdoctoral fellows in under-represented graduate and

"The Postdoctoral Fellowship for Women exists to aid women interested in
pursuing a program of advanced research training in under-represented

Application deadlines are:

January  15 for a July/August starting date
July 15 for a January starting date

These are one-year apointments with the possibility of renewal for a
second year.  Each fellowship provides a stipend of $30,000, plus $5,000
for research support.
