The US Forest Service Southern Research Station has an opportunity for a postdoctoral fellowship on the future of mature and old-growth forests through ORISE.
The project focuses on analyzing simulation model results of mature and old-growth forest dynamics and threats to those forests across the U.S. between now and mid-century (2070) under scenarios of climate and socioeconomic change. We will also aim to identify the places that will serve as refugia for mature and old-growth forests in the future.
