Hi,
I have an isolated observation of odd predatory behaviour performed by
Odonus niger in a public aquarium.
I observed the behaviour on multiple occasions in which the fish
baited in 2-3 ft long Lemon sharks (Negaprion brevirostris) which
would be attracted to the behaviour, then it would turn around and
chase them nipping at their tails. The behaviour that attracted the
sharks was crazy and I have not read nor heard of it, so I suspect it
is something that is difficult to encounter in the wild, and captivity
normally does not provide the opportunity to observe it. It just
happens, I worked in a public aquarium at the time. Anyone else
observed this or does anyone have a clue where I would publish such a
small anecdote?
