The New Phytologist Tansley Medal is awarded annually in recognition of an outstanding contribution to research in plant science by an individual in the early stages of their career (student and post-doctoral researchers with up to five years’ experience since gaining/defending their PhD are eligible). The winner will receive a prize of £2000 (GBP) and will author a Minireview that will be published in New Phytologist, accompanied by a comment from the Editor-in-Chief and Tansley reviews Editor. The application deadline for this year’s Medal is *15 December 2013.
It’s incredibly important to nurture the next generation of plant scientists, and the Tansley Medal offers a great opportunity for an outstanding scientist in the early stages of his or her career to really make an impact.
