Scientists have recently discovered a fossil of a new organism, Plexus ricei from the Ediacaran period. Plexus ricei is unique because it is bilaterally symmetrical.Ediacaran Fauna, a diverse group of organisms that lived in the world's oceans over 5 million years ago are featured in the One Species at a Time Ediacaran Fauna Fossils podcast.
