Full Time, Fixed Term (3 years) The Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment conducts research on the impacts of environmental change on terrestrial biota from genes to ecosystems (http://www.uws.edu.au/hie). The Institute includes 44 academic staff who are supported by 20 skilled technical and support staff. The Institute is seeking to appoint an energetic academic to a Level A position within the Soil Biology and Genomics theme. This position will focus on research related to an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery grant ‘The legacy of rainfall patterns in dryland ecosystems’. The successful candidate will conduct research into how rainfall impacts dryland ecosystems to advance our understanding of the mechanisms that govern above- and belowground communities. The appointee will conduct field and laboratory research to fulfill the objectives of the project.
