We are hiring 2-3 field technicians immediately to sample lakes and reservoirs in the Pacific Northwest for zebra and quagga mussels. The positions will be based out of Portland, OR and will involve multiple 5-10 day sampling trips to waterbodies in the Columbia River Basin. Start date is August 1 (but later dates may be considered). Field sampling will largely occur in August and September, with the possibility of some early fall sampling trips. Familiarity with aquatic systems and invertebrates is an asset. A valid driver’s license is required. Wage is $15/hr.
