The newly initiated Biogeochemistry Core Facility at the University of Idaho, 
Moscow is hiring a 
laboratory technician. The Core Facility is a collaborative unit involving 
departments across the 
University that houses instrumentation and laboratory space related to the 
biogeochemistry of managed 
and natural ecosystems. The majority of the technician’s time will be devoted 
to the safe and efficient 
operation of the instrumentation, including preparing samples, training Core 
users and students, 
establishing method protocols, maintaining the Core database, and ensuring 
laboratory safety 
compliance with University standards. There are also opportunities to provide 
assistance in the field, 
present during lectures as well as writing for publications and the Core

The University of Idaho, located in northern Idaho in the city of Moscow, is 
Idaho’s flagship research 
University. The campus is a great location for outdoor activities including 
biking, climbing, and skiing.
