The Biology Department at Stanford University is seeking applications for a Lecturer Position to teach Biology 46 and 47 (Introduction to Research in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology). This position requires a PhD in ecology, evolutionary biology, or a related discipline; teaching experience at the undergraduate level; laboratory experience; and willingness to work in a team of instructors. In addition, good writing skills evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, proficiency in statistical analysis with R, and experience in teaching inquiry-based courses, particularly those that involve fieldwork, are highly desirable. Expertise in molecular ecology of fungi and bacteria would be helpful, but not required. The qualified candidate will also have good interpersonal and communication skills.
