Description: The Walters Lab in the Department of Forestry at Michigan State University is looking for 2-4 laboratory technicians beginning immediately, for full-time or half-time work.
We are an applied forest ecology (silviculture) lab with a current focus on exploring alternative management regimes in northern hardwood forests. Laboratory technician’s duties will include data entry and sanding sugar maple wood samples. Desired skills: Attention to detail; proficiency with Excel; interest in working with electric sanding power tools; ability to lift low to moderate amounts of weight. Time Frame: The positions will last for two months, with the possibility to extend. Pay rate: $10.00/hr. Positions will either be 20 or 40 hours per week, depending on applicant.
