Geographies of Mobility

2014 AAG Annual Meeting, Tampa, Florida, April 8-12

We seek to organize a number of sessions at the 2014 AAG meeting in Tampa to 
explore issues pertinent to the study of human and non-human mobilities. We 
welcome papers that address the social, cultural, political, environmental, 
economic, theoretical, and methodological issues related to the geographies of 
mobility. Topics may include but are not limited to: (im)mobility and social 
differentiation and inequality; (im)mobilities of the oppressed, subjugated and 
persecuted; (im)mobility and social exclusion; experience of (im)mobility; 
politics of (im)mobility; migration; commuting; leisure travel; tourism; 
mobility by different transport modes; sustainable mobility; mobility and 
resilience; disasters, natural hazards, and mobility; mobility, wellbeing and 
health; mobility, energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions; space-time 
modeling and GIS-based analysis of mobility; mobility research methods; and 
other relevant areas.

abstract of no more than 250 words to Mei-Po Kwan ([email protected]) and Tim
